Credit packs
Charged in ZAR. USD shown as a reference. Larger packs include bonus credits.
How credits are charged
Per-message cost depends on template category and recipient country. We pass through Meta's rate structure, plus a small operations margin.
| Category | Rest of Africa | South Africa | Nigeria |
|---|---|---|---|
Utility / Authentication Receipts, reminders, OTPs, transactional alerts. | 3 credits | 3 credits | 3 credits |
Marketing Promotions, broadcasts, re-engagement. | 6 credits | 7 credits | 9 credits |
Recipient country is detected from the phone number prefix (+234 → Nigeria, +27 → South Africa, all others → Rest of Africa).

Frequently asked questions
Do credits expire?
Purchased credits never expire. The free signup credits expire 14 days after activation.
Why do marketing messages cost more?
Meta charges higher rates for marketing-category WhatsApp messages, and those rates differ by country. We mirror that so utility traffic stays cheap.
Why am I charged in ZAR?
SwiftMsg bills in South African Rand. USD figures shown alongside are reference values at a baked-in exchange rate.
What happens if a message fails to deliver?
If a send fails before Meta accepts it (invalid number, not on WhatsApp, etc.), no credit is charged. Failures after acceptance follow Meta's rules.
